What's Happening?
The Iowa Department of Education is inviting schools to join the next cohort of the HQIM Leadership Academy, a two-year program designed to support district and school leadership teams in implementing high-quality instructional materials (HQIM). The academy
offers tools and protocols for collaborative planning and classroom observation, along with access to a peer network for shared learning. Schools can choose to focus on literacy, mathematics, or both, and will receive personalized support from the Department and national partners.
Why It's Important?
The HQIM Leadership Academy represents a significant investment in educational quality and leadership development. By providing structured support and resources, the program aims to enhance instructional practices and improve student outcomes across Iowa. Participation in the academy can help schools align with state and national educational standards, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. This initiative underscores the importance of high-quality instructional materials in achieving educational equity and excellence.
