The Supreme Court of Pakistan has launched the Overseas Litigants Facilitation Cell (OLFC) to assist Pakistanis living abroad with their legal issues. Chief Justice Yahya Afridi initiated this cell to provide overseas Pakistanis, particularly those in the UAE and GCC countries, with easier access to justice. The OLFC, located at the Principal Seat of the Supreme Court, will be managed by the Principal Staff Officer to the Chief Justice. It aims to serve as a dedicated contact point, offering support and facilitation within its mandate. The cell can be accessed via a dedicated WhatsApp number and an online portal on the Supreme Court's website. This initiative addresses the legal challenges faced by the Pakistani diaspora, especially concerning property ownership, and is expected to provide significant relief to the approximately 10 million Pakistanis living abroad.
