Hartmann was deeply involved in his family’s trucking business, which grew into a Midwest Regional LTL Carrier. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, five sons, 13 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren. A memorial visitation and mass are scheduled for late June in Aurora and Batavia, Illinois.
