What's Happening?
SpaceX has launched 21 satellites for the U.S. Space Force's Space Development Agency, marking the first deployment of the Transport Layer network. This initiative aims to provide beyond line-of-sight connectivity for military forces globally, enhancing the Link 16 tactical data network. The satellites, built by York Space Systems, are equipped with optical inter-satellite communication terminals for high-speed data exchange. The launch is part of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture, which will eventually support military operations worldwide.
