Thomas Alan Harris, a respected lawyer and former Tennessee legislator, has passed away at the age of 92. Harris, who was born in Chattanooga in 1933, had a distinguished career in both law and public service. After graduating from Vanderbilt University
and serving in the U.S. Navy, he attended Vanderbilt Law School. He became a prominent figure in the legal community, practicing law for thirty years at the Milligan, Milligan and Hooper law firm. Harris also served in the Tennessee House and Senate during the 1960s. He was deeply involved in his community, contributing to various local boards and his church. Harris is survived by his wife, Sally, and their three sons and families. A service of worship will be held at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church.

The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of one's choice. This gesture reflects Harris's lifelong dedication to community service and philanthropy.
