The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has approved a seismic exploration project in Natrona County, Wyoming, to identify potential hydrocarbon resources. The project, conducted by Zavannah Resources, involves a 3D seismic survey over approximately 38,000
acres of public lands west of Casper, running from August 1 to October 31. The exploration aims to locate subsurface crude oil and natural gas deposits using minimally invasive vibroseis techniques. The BLM has ensured that the project will not involve surface-disturbing activities and includes measures for fire safety, invasive weed mitigation, and spill prevention. An inspector will monitor compliance with these measures.
