She previously served as president of St. John’s College in Annapolis and as dean of the Washington and Lee University School of Law. Her academic background includes a juris doctor from Yale Law School and a master of laws degree from Georgetown University Law Center. Notably, Demleitner clerked for current U.S. Supreme Court Justice Samuel A. Alito Jr. when he was a member of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
