Innovate UK has introduced the Agentic AI Pioneers Prize, a national competition with a £1 million prize fund aimed at advancing agentic AI across the UK's dynamic sectors such as advanced manufacturing, health and life sciences, and creative industries.
Agentic AI refers to systems that take initiative, co-create ideas, automate tasks, collaborate with humans, and coordinate complex systems to enhance design processes. The competition invites UK-registered businesses of any size to present groundbreaking solutions to sector challenges, with winners receiving expert mentorship from The High Value Manufacturing Catapult, Digital Catapult, and leading figures in AI. Up to four cash prizes will be awarded, including £250,000 for each sector and an additional £250,000 for the best overall solution.
