What's Happening?
NPR has launched the fifth edition of its El Tiny concert series, dedicated to celebrating Latin music during Hispanic Heritage Month. Running from September 15 to October 15, the series features performances from a diverse lineup of artists, including Fito Páez, Luiza Brina, Lido Pimienta, Carlos Vives, and Gloria Estefan, among others. The concerts will be held in NPR's Washington, D.C. offices and will be available on NPR Music's YouTube channel and NPR.org. The series aims to showcase the richness and diversity of Latin music, connecting different eras, geographies, and styles. Anamaria Sayre and Félix Contreras, co-hosts of Alt.Latino, are curating the event, which also marks a milestone for the podcast as it celebrates 15 years of promoting Latin culture.
