AeroVironment, Inc., a U.S.-based company, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Taiwan's National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) to collaborate on autonomous systems and related technologies. The agreement was signed during the Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE) 2025. It aims to establish a framework for both parties to strengthen the lifecycle and sustainability of Taiwan's unmanned and precision strike systems. AeroVironment will initially focus on supporting its Jump 20 and Jump 20-X vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), providing technical expertise, training, and sustainment processes to enhance readiness and resilience on the island.
