Hospice of the Chesapeake has announced the addition of Dr. Emily Grodinsky to its medical team as a hospice and palliative physician. Dr. Grodinsky brings a specialized background in neurology and extensive training in caring for patients with serious
illnesses. Originally from the Chicago area, she completed her undergraduate studies at Northwestern University and attended Weill Cornell Medical College. Her neurology residency was at Rush University Medical Center, followed by a vascular neurology fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. From 2021 to 2024, she practiced as a neurologist in Northern Virginia. Her experience with patients facing life-altering neurological conditions motivated her to pursue additional training in hospice and palliative medicine, which she completed through a fellowship at MedStar Health Georgetown University/Washington Hospital Center.
