The innovative card formats and digital app aim to provide immersive experiences, potentially attracting a new generation of fans. This move could bolster the trading card industry, which has seen a resurgence in popularity, and enhance the NBA's brand presence globally. The collaboration also highlights the growing influence of players in the collectibles space, as evidenced by the involvement of the NBPA.

As the NBA season progresses, the jerseys of award-winning players will feature special patches that will later be incorporated into trading cards. These initiatives are expected to drive fan engagement and expand the reach of NBA trading cards.
