The Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) has announced a significant increase in the value of its Refurbishment and Modernisation Framework Agreement, raising it by 50% from its original valuation. Initially set at £100 million, the framework's value has now
been elevated to £150 million to accommodate an unforeseen surge in demand. This framework, which commenced on March 1, 2024, and is set to run until the end of February 2028, is managed by the LHC Procurement Group on behalf of SPA. It allows registered social landlords and other public sector clients to procure a variety of works, including kitchen and bathroom installations, electrical work, painting, decorating, and external environmental works. Originally, five firms were part of the agreement, but with the recent modification, an additional 16 firms have been included, bringing the total to 21.
