The discussions on strengthening bilateral ties and addressing the Russia-Ukraine war underscore Türkiye's continued efforts to mediate and facilitate dialogue. The emphasis on Black Sea security is particularly critical, as disruptions to commercial shipping and attacks on infrastructure in the region have global economic implications, especially for grain shipments. Economic cooperation, energy projects, and Ukraine's eventual reconstruction are also key areas of engagement. Türkiye is likely to continue its diplomatic efforts to de-escalate tensions and promote maritime safety in the Black Sea. The meeting with Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew suggests an ongoing focus on humanitarian issues and the welfare of Ukrainian children affected by the war. These engagements aim to solidify international support for Ukraine and explore avenues for a lasting peace.
