What's Happening?
ADNOC Gas, in collaboration with Baker Hughes and Levidian, has successfully installed LOOP technology at the Habshan Gas Processing Plant. This marks the first deployment of the technology at an operational
site, capturing carbon from methane and transforming it into graphene and hydrogen. The LOOP unit can produce over 1 tonne per annum of graphene and hydrogen, with future installations expected to deliver 15 tonnes. Mohamed Al Hashemi, Chief Operations Officer of ADNOC Gas, emphasized the project's role in driving decarbonization and supporting the UAE's industrial growth and climate ambitions.
