Mikki Koskinen, a Finnish shipping executive, has been appointed as the new president of the European Community Shipowners’ Associations (ECSA), effective January 1, 2026. Koskinen, who has been the managing
director of ESL Shipping Oy since 2013, will succeed Karin Orsel, the first female president of ECSA. Koskinen has served as the vice-president of ECSA since 2024 and has a long history in the shipping industry, including roles with Meriaura Oy and the International Chamber of Shipping.
