The Virginia Military Institute (VMI) has welcomed its largest-ever class of new cadets, marking the beginning of its 187th academic year. The 'Rat Mass of 2027+3' comprises 532 cadets from 36 states and 9 countries, with 84 women making up the third-largest
female class since VMI became co-educational.
