The Colombian Navy is set to enhance its defense capabilities by integrating the C-Guard decoy launching system into its new PES frigates. Damen Naval has signed a contract with Terma A/S, a Danish defense technology
company, to supply the C-Guard system. This system is designed to counter coordinated missile and torpedo attacks by deploying decoys, providing precise protection. The first of four frigates, based on Damen's Sigma 10514 design, will be constructed in Colombia with the collaboration of Cotecmar in Cartagena de Indias. Delivery is scheduled for 2030.
