India and Vietnam have reinforced their defence partnership during the 15th Defence Policy Dialogue held in Hanoi. The dialogue, co-chaired by India's Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh and Vietnam's Deputy Minister of National Defence Lt. Gen. Hoang
Xuan Chien, resulted in the signing of two major agreements. These include a Memorandum of Agreement on Mutual Submarine Search, Rescue Support and Cooperation, and a Letter of Intent on Defence Industry Cooperation. The agreements aim to enhance naval interoperability and facilitate technology transfer and joint production under India's 'Make in India' initiative and Vietnam's defence modernization efforts.
