What's Happening?
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has initiated a new Coordinated Research Project aimed at strengthening international networks of fusion devices. This project builds on previous efforts to connect laboratories working with small and medium-sized
fusion facilities. The initiative is part of a broader push to explore fusion as a future source of clean and reliable energy. The IAEA's coordinated research projects are designed to bring together facilities and specialists worldwide, supporting knowledge sharing and building technical capacity across regions. The recently completed five-year project involved 24 institutions from 18 countries, linking 14 laboratories operating various fusion devices.
