On Christmas Day, the Jewish community, led by Rabbi Albert Chait MBE, organized the 'A Time to Say Thank You' initiative, where up to 5,000 people across the UK and Australia participated in distributing gifts. The initiative aimed to express gratitude
and kindness, with volunteers handing out gifts to emergency service and care workers in cities like Leeds, London, and Manchester. Rabbi Chait emphasized that the project was about spreading love and had no political agenda. The event also highlighted the community's resilience, as it took place under police protection following a recent attack on a Hanukkah celebration in Sydney.
