The Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) at Dubai South has announced the expansion of its Line Maintenance Units (LMUs) to accommodate increasing demand from airside operators, including Fixed Base Operators (FBOs). This expansion increases the total number of LMUs to 11, covering a combined area of 76,000 square feet. The upgraded facilities are designed to serve as a comprehensive hub for aviation services, featuring storage and maintenance warehouses, tooling, engineering support, and a dedicated pilot rest area. Mohammad Al Falasi, deputy CEO of MBRAH, emphasized that the new units will provide comprehensive maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, ensuring faster turnaround times and improved service quality for carriers. Construction is currently underway, with completion expected by the third quarter of 2026.
