Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) has announced the launch of a Film and TV Workforce Training Program, supported by a grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO). This initiative aims to prepare Illinois residents
for careers in the media industry by offering paid, hands-on training. The program will take place in SIUE's newly renovated TV studio and control room, providing participants with direct experience in production, set operations, and crew collaboration. Each session spans 80 hours, immersing trainees in real-world production environments. The program is open to Illinois residents aged 18 and older, with multiple sessions starting in March 2026. Participants who complete all training hours will receive a monetary stipend.
