Stephanie Misar, a South Dakota native and South Dakota State University journalism graduate, has returned to her home state to serve as the Vice President of Corporate Support for Friends of South Dakota Public Broadcasting (SDPB). After spending 22
years in Washington, D.C., building a career in marketing, sales, and global partnerships, Misar is now focused on connecting businesses and communities with SDPB and supporting its more than 16,000 members. Her decision to return was driven by a desire to be closer to family and experience a different quality of life, as well as to apply her extensive experience to benefit South Dakota. She noted the significant growth and dynamic energy of Sioux Falls since her departure, highlighting its accessibility despite rapid development.
