What's Happening?
The University of North Carolina Greensboro (UNCG) is pioneering a new approach to cybersecurity education by integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) into its curriculum. This
initiative, led by Bahar Pourbehzadi, an assistant professor of Information Systems, involves a VR game designed to simulate real-world auditing scenarios. Students interact with an AI mentor and engage in conversations with virtual executives, practicing the art of follow-up questions and receiving tailored feedback. The program aims to equip students with both technical and soft skills, making them more attractive to future employers. The VR game is accessible via Meta Quest 3 headsets and was developed using the Unity platform, with AI components powered by Convai.
