Governor Patrick Morrisey of West Virginia has announced the allocation of over $2.1 million in grants to various Child Advocacy Centers across the state. The funding aims to enhance the state's response to child abuse and neglect, providing support services
for child victims. Notable recipients include the Logan County Child Advocacy Center, which received over $88,500, and Cornerstone Family Interventions, awarded nearly $86,500. These centers offer safe environments for investigating crimes against children and provide supportive services. Additional funds were distributed to other centers, including the North Star Child Advocacy Center and the West Virginia Child Abuse Network, which received over $134,000 and $133,000 respectively. The grants are part of a broader initiative to support children and families affected by abuse throughout West Virginia.
