Hisdesat has signed a contract with Airbus Defence and Space and Thales Alenia Space to construct SpainSat NG III, a secure communications satellite for Spain's Ministry of Defence. Scheduled for launch in 2030, the satellite will enhance strategic communications for the Spanish
Armed Forces and allied nations. The project is part of the SPAINSAT NG Programme, the largest space initiative by the Spanish industry.
