Northern Ireland Electricity Networks has announced a £223 million framework for the construction, refurbishment, and restringing of overhead transmission lines. The eight-year deal involves five firms and is divided into two lots, covering lines operating at 33kV, 110kV, and 275kV. The framework includes asset replacement, uprating, emergency repairs, and new-build work on wood pole and steel tower structures. Murphy International, a subsidiary of Murphy Group, is among the firms awarded contracts in both lots.
