The World Food Prize Foundation has announced the opening of submissions for its 2026 Top Agri-food Pioneers (TAP) program. This initiative aims to recognize 40 innovators who are making significant contributions to food and nutrition security through
practical, science-driven solutions. The announcement coincides with the 40th anniversary of the World Food Prize, highlighting the Foundation's ongoing commitment to global food security. The TAP program honors individuals from diverse backgrounds, including farmers, scientists, entrepreneurs, and policy leaders, who are united by their dedication to improving food systems worldwide. Since its inception in 2024, the TAP program has grown into a global network of trailblazers, with the 2025 cohort featuring 39 individuals from 27 countries.
