Eutelsat and Paratus Group have announced a new multi-million, multi-year agreement to expand the delivery of Eutelsat's OneWeb LEO satellite connectivity services across Southern Africa. This partnership
aims to provide an extended range of services for fixed sites, as well as communications on-the-move and on-pause, in countries including South Africa, Angola, Namibia, Botswana, and Zambia. The collaboration between Eutelsat and Paratus began in 2022, with Paratus initially signing a distribution partnership with OneWeb. Following OneWeb's acquisition by Eutelsat in 2023, Paratus has continued to enhance its service offerings, including the construction of a OneWeb teleport facility in Angola, launched in June 2024. Paratus South Africa integrated Eutelsat OneWeb into its services in January 2024.
