the agency, uses an a cappella version of Bonnie Tyler’s 'Total Eclipse of the Heart' to highlight the plight of families in temporary accommodation. The film portrays a young boy who transforms the hold music from his mother’s housing calls into a moment of escapism. The campaign is grounded in realism, with details such as mold-covered walls and makeshift decorations based on real accounts from people living in temporary housing.
Why It's Important?
The campaign draws attention to the ongoing housing crisis, emphasizing the emotional and psychological impact on families living in temporary accommodations. By using a well-known 80s classic, Shelter aims to resonate with a broad audience, raising awareness and potentially increasing support for their cause.
