Donald Pilger, affectionately known as 'Pops', passed away on April 2, 2026, at the age of 91. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Mary Pilger, several siblings, his wife Patricia, and son-in-law Stephen Baechle. Pilger is survived by his daughter
Kathleen Baechle, son Donald Pilger, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Known for his love of the Cleveland Browns, NASCAR, golf, and hunting, Pilger was a man of faith and a beloved family figure. A celebration of his life is scheduled for May 2nd at the First Presbyterian Church in Brockport, New York. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Aurora House of Western Monroe County.
