Qualitas Health, an Australian division of a Malaysian-owned medical clinic operator, has introduced an AI-based document processing agent named 'Samantha' across 20 of its 45 medical practices in Victoria,
NSW, and Queensland. Developed by Care GP, Samantha utilizes Google Gemini technology to analyze and allocate both digital and hard copies of medical records to patient files. The rollout began in August and was completed over eight weeks. The AI agent aims to improve customer service by automating tedious tasks, allowing staff to focus on enhancing patient interactions. Despite initial resistance to non-human labor-saving technology, staff have reportedly embraced Samantha due to its efficiency in handling repetitive tasks.
