Craig Fitzpatrick, a retired United States Air Force veteran, is advocating for the inclusion of blind hockey in the Paralympic Games by 2034. Diagnosed with Stargardt disease, Fitzpatrick has been legally
blind since 2002. He found solace in hockey, eventually becoming a player and advocate for blind hockey. Fitzpatrick co-founded the Washington Blind Hockey Club and was a member of the U.S. Blind Hockey Team in 2018. He has taught over 300 blind individuals to play hockey and is releasing a book titled 'Finding the Puck: Leadership Lessons From My Journey Through Blind Hockey' to support the growth of the sport.
