Known for his power hitting, Murakami set a single-season record in NPB with 56 home runs in 2022. Despite an oblique injury limiting him to 69 games this season, he managed to hit 24 home runs. However, his tendency to strike out frequently, with at least 115 strikeouts in six consecutive seasons, may be a concern for potential MLB teams.
