Fincantieri's subsidiary WASS has won a contract to supply Black Shark Advanced torpedoes to the Indian Navy for its Scorpène-class submarines. The contract, valued at over €200 million, includes torpedoes, launch systems, maintenance equipment, and spare
parts. Deliveries are scheduled between 2028 and 2030, with production at WASS's facility in Livorno, Italy.
