What's Happening?
Turkish defense software company HAVELSAN has secured a contract with the NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) to provide an automated Joint Interface Control Officer (JICO) Tactical Data
Link (TDL) network planning tool. This agreement, approved by NATO's Investment Committee in December 2025, aims to enhance NATO's Tactical Data Link Management Center (TDLMC) capability. The software will be integrated into NATO's inventory and deployed across allied air, land, and maritime assets. It facilitates the pre-planning and management of alliance platform communications, including data links, frequencies, encryption, and network design.
