Monroe County Community College (MCCC) is offering a series of information sessions and hospital tours for prospective students interested in respiratory therapy. These sessions, scheduled from February to May, will be held both in-person at the Gerald
Welch Health Education Building and online via Zoom. Participants will learn about career opportunities, job duties, and the employment outlook in respiratory therapy. The program director, Helen Stripling, highlighted the program's recognition as one of the best in Michigan and the U.S., with articulation agreements facilitating easy transfer to four-year institutions. Attendees can earn points toward program admission, with the application deadline for the fall 2026 semester set for June 25.
