The Columbus Blue Jackets are set to host the Scripps Regional Spelling Bee for the second consecutive year on March 20, 2026, at Nationwide Arena. This event will bring together top young spellers from central Ohio, highlighting the Blue Jackets' commitment
to education and literacy initiatives. The competition will feature 40 school champions from a 23-county region, with the winner earning a trip to Washington, D.C., to participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee. The event will include appearances by Blue Jackets personalities and community members, with Mike Todd serving as emcee and Greg Murray as pronouncer. The judging panel will consist of respected figures from the Columbus media and literacy community.
