Chichester District Council has allocated £35,000 to preserve a rare 4th-century Roman coffin lining, currently displayed at The Novium Museum. Discovered in 1985, the artefact is one of only a few hundred found in Britain. Additional funding will enhance the museum's Roman Gallery with improved audio-visual experiences.
