Export Finance Australia has issued a nonbinding letter of support for up to A$80 million in senior debt financing for the Donald rare earth and mineral sands project in Victoria. This endorsement marks a significant milestone for the joint venture between
Energy Fuels and Astron, as they move closer to a final investment decision. The project aims to produce light and heavy rare earth elements and zircon-rich mineral concentrates, with first production expected by the second half of 2027. The rare earth concentrate will be supplied to Energy Fuels' White Mesa mill in Utah for processing into high-purity oxides.
