Chanel is set to launch its cultural program, La Galerie du 19M, in Shanghai from September 25 to November 15. This initiative will be hosted at the Museum of Art Pudong, occupying the entire third floor of the contemporary art museum. The program aims
to showcase Chanel's network of specialist ateliers, placing them in dialogue with Chinese craftsmanship and contemporary creations from both China and France. The exhibition will feature a retrospective dedicated to Lesage, a storied embroidery house, and will include talks, workshops, and cultural activities to engage the public with craft as a living practice rooted in cross-cultural exchanges. This Shanghai chapter builds on the international footprint of Le19M, which was founded in 2021 to safeguard endangered know-how by concentrating artisans and maisons d’art under one roof.
