Laureen T. Driscoll has been named the new President and CEO of WellSpan Health, a health system comprising a dozen hospitals, including WellSpan Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg. Driscoll will assume her new role in January, succeeding Roxanna
Gapstur, who has served as President and CEO since January 2019 and will continue in the role until January 3, 2027. Driscoll's appointment follows a national search. Prior to joining WellSpan Health, Driscoll was the CEO for the South Division of Providence in California, where she was responsible for strategy, growth, integration, operations, and financial performance across 17 hospitals, with $10.3 billion in net operating revenue and approximately 41,000 caregivers. Her previous experience also includes senior roles at MultiCare Health System, such as president of Tacoma General and Allenmore hospitals, and leadership positions at Swedish Health System, Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center, and Maine Medical Center. She holds an executive Master of Business Administration from the University of Washington Foster School of Business, a Master of Science in Nursing Administration from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Southern Maine, and is a registered nurse.
