Western Sydney International Airport (WSI) is set to begin its passenger services in October, with cargo operations starting earlier in July. The first commercial passenger flight will be operated by Jetstar on October 25, flying to the Gold Coast. Jetstar plans
to offer up to 14 weekly flights to Melbourne, three weekly flights to Brisbane, and four weekly flights to the Gold Coast. Qantas will commence its operations at WSI on March 28, 2027, with four weekly flights to Melbourne and Brisbane using Embraer E190s operated by its QantasLink unit. The airport is designed for 24/7 operations without a curfew, unlike Sydney's Kingsford Smith Airport. When fully operational, WSI is expected to handle up to 10 million passengers annually.
