The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has launched an AI-driven ecosystem to support climate-resilient agriculture, particularly in regions vulnerable to climate change. This initiative, announced in partnership
with the Gates Foundation, aims to strengthen food security and assist smallholder farmers facing climate volatility. The ecosystem integrates scientific research, AI model development, and digital advisory tools to provide practical solutions for farmers. Key components include the CGIAR AI Hub, the Institute for Agriculture and Artificial Intelligence at MBZUAI, and AgriLLM, an open-source large language model. These efforts are designed to improve crop modeling, yield prediction, and climate-resilient farming practices.
