An American team has begun the construction of a hydrogen-powered drone submarine, a significant step in the Pentagon's Combat Autonomous Maritime Platform (CAMP) program. This 8.8-ton, 38-foot-long submarine is designed to travel 3,100 miles underwater
and remain submerged for up to 38 days.
