NASA has announced a new HeroX challenge titled 'Rock and Roll with NASA Challenge,' aimed at developing advanced wheels and tires for lunar rovers. The competition offers $155,000 in prizes for designs
that can withstand the harsh conditions of the moon's surface. Participants, ranging from amateur inventors to professional companies, are invited to submit their innovative solutions. The challenge is part of NASA's ongoing efforts to leverage public creativity through crowdsourcing, a strategy previously used to improve astronaut gloves and virtual reality training tools for space missions.
