What's Happening?
Cleary University hosted a two-day workshop for over 20 art students from Fowlerville High School, inspired by the work of artist Arthur Secunda. The "Arthur Secunda Immersive Experience" aimed to enhance students' artistic skills through innovative techniques.
Led by Jeff Von Buskirk, the workshop included tours of the Secunda Museum and hands-on activities such as watercolor painting, linocut etching, and collage creation. Students were encouraged to create original artwork inspired by Secunda's techniques. The event was supported by grant funding from the Michigan Arts and Culture Council and local community foundations, with plans to extend the experience to other high schools in the area.
