A car chase in southern Utah involving David W. Drury, a 32-year-old California man driving a stolen vehicle, was brought to an end using a Grappler Police Bumper. The incident began on a Wednesday around 2:30 p.m. when a license plate reader detected
a vehicle reported stolen from California traveling north on I-15. Law enforcement in Washington County was alerted, and deputies attempted to stop the 2013 Ford Escape. Drury, however, evaded them, leading officers on a pursuit that continued onto State Route 9 and then Sand Hollow Road. A deputy equipped with a Grappler Police Bumper joined the chase.
