The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) has introduced its first AI-powered HR Avatar, named Ms FAO AI, designed to serve as a virtual HR colleague for employees globally. This
initiative marks a significant step in FAO's digitalization journey, aiming to modernize systems and thinking within the organization. The AI tool, described by FAO Director-General QU Dongyu as a companion rather than a robot, is multilingual and available 24/7, assisting employees in making informed decisions and accessing HR services. Earlier, FAO launched CertusCare, another AI chatbot, to streamline HR processes and provide rapid responses to queries related to social security, health insurance, and career development.
